Lyric of the week (6.22.09)

"Sound travels at one thousand, one thirty/..feet per second, n*ggaz on the street, they want it hurried"--Andre 3000(Outkast), from the song "Xplosion"from Stankonia LP

I always dug this bar because it shows equality..On one hand it's dealing with an actual fact in the 120 lessons(8:13) and at that same time it's addressing the hood's "right now" mentality. Sound travels at 1,120 feet per second, which is pretty fast, yet n*ggaz want sh*t even faster than that! It's the microwave mentality of a savage in pursuit of happiness. Instant gratification that is always sought, however never attained. They want model shaped bodies, without the boxer like discipline to exercise and achieve physical fitness. They want the greatest loving mate and relationship, without refining their manners and customs in order to attract or maintain life with one. I liken the current 85 mentality to the story of Sleeping Beauty. They want "Once upon a time" and "Happily ever after" without the story in between(Love and Right, without the Hell). Mathematically, the victory lies in that "Hell" between. Sleeping Beauty is our Original nation, often called "the Sleeping Giant", however nations are often referred to as women. Sleeping Beauty was the most beautiful woman in her land and was placed under a sleep spell by an evil witch which could only be broken by the kiss of her true love. Sleeping Beauty lived with seven dwarves. Seven is the number that pertains to God and dwarf means small. I cee this detail suggesting she dwelled with a minimized sense of God. The sleep spell could only be broken by the kiss of her true love(Prince Charming, heir to the King's throne). Love is supreme understanding and she could only arise from her slumber after her male counterpart breathed wisdom back into her. Once awaken she would wed the Prince and become Queen (17. What is the meaning of civilization?) of the land. MWAH!!! Peace.
